We Specialize in Root Canal Therapy.
If your dentist told you that you need a root canal, it’s not the end of the world.
Millions of teeth are saved every year by endodontic root canal treatment.
Our doctors specialize in endodontic root canal therapy to treat inflammation, pain, and save the tooth from extraction, often in one-visit.
Endodontic Services We Provide
Tooth Evaluation
General dentists often refer patients to us to determine if a root canal is needed, this is called an evaluation. In some cases, this is after a traumatic injury or treatment for deep decay. Our root canal specialists will often order 3d dental images (x-rays) to determine if the tooth can be saved with the root canal procedure.
Root Canal Therapy
A root canal is one of the most common dental procedures performed by Endodontists.
The Endodontist will remove the diseased dental pulp, clean the internal portion of your tooth, and fill the prepared canals with a biocompatible filling material. A temporary crown will be placed until you return to your dentist for your final crown.
Retreatment
In rare cases, endodontic retreatment may be necessary after an initial root canal.
Pain in a treated tooth may be caused by new decay exposing the root canal filling, often caused by a delay in permanent crown placement after the initial root canal, restorative contamination, or a crack in the permanent crown.
Endodontic Surgery
Endodontic Microsurgery is performed by an Endodontist using a surgeon’s microscope.
The procedure, called an apicoectomy, is performed to remove the root tip, or apex along with the infected tissue. It is usually recommended when a patient continues to experience pain after an initial root canal procedure.
